Mystery of The Male God: An International Literary Evening<\/p>\n
Helsinki, Finland \u2013 On 20th of May 2026, writers Eeva Maria al-Khazaali and Henry al-Muthanna (US\/SRB) will present Mystery of The Male God, a literary event at Permantosali, Tekstin talo, Helsinki. The evening brings together a novel reading, spoken word poetry, conversation between the authors, and an open mic for emerging voices.<\/p>\n
The program explores themes of identity, language, power, and vulnerability through literature and performance. At the center of the event are excerpts from al-Khazaali\u2019s novel The Male God and spoken word performances from al-Muthanna\u2019s poetry collection Mystery of Misery.<\/p>\n
The evening begins with a short interview about The Male God, followed by a reading by al-Khazaali. The authors will then switch roles, as al-Khazaali interviews al-Muthanna about his poetry. The program continues with a spoken word performance by al-Muthanna and concludes with a Q&A session.<\/p>\n
After a short break, the stage opens to the public with a multilingual open mic hosted by al-Muthanna.
