THE LITERARY CALENDAR IS A NEW FAVOURITE PLACE FOR BOOKISH PEOPLE
Kirjallisuuskalenteri.fi is a calendar that brings together all of Finland’s literary and text-related events. It was created to help with event marketing, to spark the interest of the public and to expand the audience for the textual culture and literary fields.
The literary calendar provides event organizers with increased visibility and a new channel for publicity. Its target group is broad, including diverse organizers of events and training related to literature and texts, such as literary associations, publishers, libraries, literary art schools, folk high schools and cultural institutes. These users can access the calendar for publicizing and advertising their events free of charge.
For the public, the literary calendar is a portal to an interesting array of literary and textual events and courses. Besides event postings, the site will provide event reports and author presentations, which will help draw in the public to content that interests them.
Kirjallisuuskalenteri.fi forms part of a nationwide textual culture development project run by Tekstin talo.
Tekstin talo is a new literary community and cultural centre in Helsinki. It brings together a large number of cultural organizations under one roof, as well as hosting diverse cultural events.
